Constant Therapy’s NeuroPerformance Engine… or just how DOES our app know what therapy activities to give you next?

Constant Therapy | Traumatic brain injury, Stroke

Constant Therapy has something pretty unique behind the scientifically proven, evidence-based speech, language, and cognitive therapy activities you see in it every day – it’s called the NeuroPerformance Engine, and it knows just how to customize the therapy exercises that you need to work on YOUR goals at the right time for YOU!  Read on to learn more!

When we first came up with the idea for Constant Therapy, we could only have dreamed how far our technology would come to help hundreds of thousands of patients.  Well, okay, our engineering team probably knew this was all possible all along, but sometimes I feel like I’m watching a science fiction movie when I see the power behind today’s technology.  I mean, a touch screen tablet or phone can understand what I SAY to it?!  Even when I speak in SENTENCES!?  Incredible!

We are very proud of the hard work that’s gone into Constant Therapy over the years to harness the continuing advances that technology has to offer, and one of my personal favorites is our patented NeuroPerformance Engine.  So what does that do exactly?  Well in short, it detects exactly what level of difficulty of therapy is right for YOU – in a customized, individualized manner.

Our AI-powered, “behind-the-scenes” therapy engine customizes the right therapy activities based on each user’s needs

We here at Constant Therapy LOVE data.  We look at data from the research when we develop new therapy activities; we constantly support the many researchers seeking data from our platform, and we are always revisiting data from the app to make sure that our therapy activities are appropriately designed. On a more personal level, our app also checks your data to make sure that we are delivering the right therapy activities to you, in the right order, at the right time in your recovery journey.

Step-by-step: here’s how the NeuroPerformance Engine works

NeuroPerformance Engine

Take a look at the graphic above. It gives a quick overview of how Constant Therapy’s NeuroPerformance Engine works:

  • First off, we take a look at your assessment results, or the results from the first time you’ve ever done any Constant Therapy exercises, as well as the areas that you or your clinician marked off that you want to work on during sign up.
  • The NeuroPerformance Engine looks at how many exercises of a particular therapy activity you got right versus wrong, how quickly you were able to complete those exercises, and how many times you’ve done a particular type of therapy activity.
  • From there, it adjusts your upcoming practice session to have harder or easier tasks to best suit your needs.

The NeuroPerformance Engine also takes a look at your performance on your therapy activities to see if there are related activities that might be helpful for you to work on.  For example, if you’re having a hard time with reading, it will ask if you’d like to check to see if you also might need to work on spelling.  This way, you’re putting in the work on any and all the underlying skills that might help support you meet your goals!

I had used CT regularly for about 6 months. I didn’t do the extremely visually demanding ones because I have double vision as well as figure ground issues etc. The app doesn’t seem to know that and keeps loading on visual stuff! What should I do?

I have adjusted the program with our speech therapist but somehow the number of times and even the modules keeps changing. How do you set it so that doesn’t happen?
