BOSTON, Mass., February 9, 2021 — Constant Therapy Health, a next generation digital therapeutics company, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued U.S. Patent #10,909,870 covering the process the company and its products use to deliver personalized digital therapy.
The company secured the patent as they marked a major milestone: users of its groundbreaking speech, language, and cognitive therapy app, Constant Therapy, completed over 150 million exercises, a powerful reminder of the critical role played by digital therapeutics during a time when access to in-person therapy is limited.
The patent covers the underlying technology at the heart of the company’s products and services, including aspects of its AI-based Neuro Performance Engine (NPE). The NPE presents—and continuously adjusts—tasks or exercises based on the user’s past performance data, and on performance data from thousands of other users who are living with the same condition. Personalized tasks or exercises are delivered to the user at the right time, appropriately targeted to the recovery process and the user’s goals. With 150 million exercises completed, Constant Therapy Health holds the world’s largest database of brain rehabilitation data to advance the science of brain recovery.
This patent comes on the heels of Constant Therapy Health’s FDA Breakthrough Device Designation, the first cognitive linguistics application to achieve this status by the FDA, further validating the groundbreaking nature of the company’s NeuroPerformance Engine technology.
“With the COVID-19 public health emergency upending life as we know it, there is a growing need for quality telehealth solutions that maximize access to care while minimizing exposure,” said Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Veera Anantha. “Our work to provide personalized therapy to patients anytime, anywhere is more important now than ever before.”
